AS INVENTOR:
Abbey Road and the Beatles was Bob Baldwin's 25th career solo disc...His latest is his 33rd NewUrbanJazz 3 / An UrbanSmoothSuite. Baldwin rolled out discs #22 and 23 in 2016 with his The Brazilian-American Soundtrack, and The Gift of Christmas, with music recorded in Brazil and the United States....In 2017, look for remixes of some of his past recordings leading up to his 30th year Anniversary (1988) as a solo artist. Look for shows coming up overseas, including the UK. Baldwin's on the move.
AS PRODUCER/COMPOSER:
Look for more produced projects of various instrumentalists and vocalists in 2017. Between 2014-2016, Baldwin has written music that has been recorded by Paul Brown/Bob James (#1 Radio), Richard Elliot, Marion Meadows, Ragan Whiteside, and Euge Groove. There's more to come, including some strong indie artists. Stay tuned...
AS CURATOR:
As curator of the NewUrbanJazz Live Music series (a spin off from his radio program), look for events coming up in various cities starting with an exciting program at the Berks Jazz Fest w/ Tom Browne, Marion Meadows and Walter Beasley. We are pleased that our efforts to improve musical quality on a local and national level caught the attention of the New York Times in 2011 (see article).
AS RADIO HOST:
With over 40 stations and a following of 500,000 listeners weekly, the NewUrbanJazz Radio program continues to flourish, with new stations to be added to Boston and Detroit. Stay tuned, or visit our radio page. Join the movement! Visit us.
AS INVENTOR:
